More About Me!

My love for reading has always been a driving force in my academic and professional journey, ultimately leading me to the School of Journalism & Graphic Communication at Florida A&M University. During my time at FAMU, I’ve gained invaluable knowledge and had the privilege of seizing incredible opportunities. While graduating in three years allowed me a limited amount of time on campus, I’ve accomplished so much, and this site serves as a testament to that.

After working with Journey Magazine for nearly two years, the team truly became like a second family to me, and the office felt like a home away from home. My involvement with the publication has not only broadened my understanding of magazine production but has also solidified my passion for pursuing this field professionally.

Starting as an online editor, where I managed the pitch line, and later being promoted to Copy Desk Chief, where I oversaw both the editorial team and staff writers, gave me the opportunity to shape Journey's voice and vision. It’s been an incredibly rewarding experience, and one that has reinforced my commitment to a career in publishing.
